The origin
Born from a simple observation.
The most meaningful gender-equality research often stays within policy circles — never reaching the women who need it most. There's a gap between what is known and what actually changes.
Iradda was founded by an engineer and a policy researcher with direct ties to India's Prime Minister's Office. We translate institutional knowledge into practical tools that help women move forward — with clarity, confidence and community.
The word Iradda draws from the Sanskrit Sankalpa — the sacred vow to act with purpose. We believe intention, when matched with the right support, becomes unstoppable action.
We're not just another NGO. We're grounded in evidence — backed by research from NITI Aayog — and built by people who understand both the policy architecture and the engineering of systems that scale. We exist in the gap between the two.
Values
What we stand for.
We build meaningful mentor-mentee relationships that open doors and build confidence.
We equip women with the skills, networks and mindset to own their futures.
Intention means nothing without action. We create the conditions for women to move forward.
Mission
Closing the gap between
what's known and what's done.
Gender-equality research has never been more advanced. Yet millions of women remain disconnected from its findings.
Structured, meaningful connections between women with lived experience and those just starting their journey.
Practical workshops, resources and programs designed around what women actually need to thrive.
Backed by research from India's NITI Aayog — we ground everything in evidence-based insights.
The founders
Two people, one shared belief.
That every woman deserves the support to turn her intentions into reality.
